Our spring talk is being given by Prof Graham Davis (lately of Bath Spa University). Graham will be looking at the history of the Langton family who were the owners of Newton Park, outside Corston, for 300 years.
With their roots in the Bristol mercantile community, the family went onto include a Radical MP and a leading suffragist before the estate was passed to the Duchy of Cornwall.
This fascinating story will be told on April 27th from 7.30pm at Corston Village Hall. Tickets are £5 and as previously includes bread, cheese and soft drinks – for licensing reasons please bring your own wine, beer or cider!
Tickets are available on the door or in advance from Diane Phillips and Martin Seymour in the village. You can also email us at CorstonLHS@gmail.com to reserve your ticket.
